Specifics:
Described by Conant in 2000 on the basis of 23 specimen.
It was first thought that it was Thamnophis eques, but after the investigation it turned out to be a separate species.
Lifestyle probably largely the same as at Thamnophis eques.
Thamnophis eques has large black spots between the dorsal and the lateral stripes. In Thamnophis rossmani these are very small or absent.
